The USDOT-funded research center “Advancing Community-Centric Transportation Systems (ACTS)” is housed at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. Given the clear emphasis of the research center on community-centric research and engagement, a consortium of five academic institutions will collaborate with numerous community partners across the United States for innovative research and deployment.
The research team has a structured and targeted research agenda to advance policy and practice related to transportation accessibility and mobility. The research agenda consists of nine research projects, to be carried out over the three-year performance period of the ACTS center. The core research approach is three-pronged, namely Policy, Technology, and Operation.
